Somewhere in the TV World, the landshape shifts... as the emotional instability, and their own desire to conceal their true feelings of two individuals reaches its apex, a dungeon spawns... or is it two? Soon enough, the truth shall be revealed...
Hello all! This has been a long time coming, but Lox and myself are going to be running the plots for Gorobo (Falcon) and Digigoro (Wolf) TV Dungeons! In order to make this run as smooth as possible, and not let the plot lament for months on end, we've decided to go with signups and deadlines. That way, everyone knows what's up, and don't have to worry about the whens and hows.
'But wait, what if something comes up and I can't finish a thread before a deadline?'
Good question! In order to let everyone RP at their own pace, but still keep things within a reasonable timeframe, I will make a hub for these plotlines, where players can submit a summary of what they/their team did on a given thread. That way, everyone has an idea about what happened previously, and can go ahead with what happens next, while, if desired, the players involved in the thread can continue RPing at their leisure. The hub will also serve as the place where all plotlines will be played, and contain the necessary information for players to decide what to do OOCly.
Ideally, the schedule will go as follows:
15/3/25 (today): Signups open. These will stay open until the hub goes up. Players can use this to OOCly plan what they'd like their characters to do, who will be on what team, etc. To sign up, simply state as much with the character(s) you want to bring below.
21/3/25: Hub goes up.
22/3/25: Toplevel of Gorobo and Digigoro's disappearance. General catch-all for players to have their character react to the disappearances, and their appearances on the Midnight Channel, as well as to ICly create a team/plan/etc
29/3/25: Toplevels for the dungeons. Characters will discover one dungeon that, when entered, splits into two distinct dungeons. ICly, they will not know what path leads to who, but we will provide info OOCly for players to make a decision later in this signup.
5/4/25: Toplevels for the confontation with the Shadows.
12/4/25: Resolution toplevels. Characters can speak to Gorobo or Digigoro after the fact, or with one another to discuss what happened.
Most likely, the larger threads will use a claim system, whereas if characters have smaller threads (an individual character reacting to the midnight channel with another one, a network post, etc), we will leave tag order up to player discretion.
Now, on to the dungeons and how they function:
As stated before, Gorobo and Digigoro will appear to 'share' a dungeon. As the characters approach it, they will notice that they appear to enter a city overtaken by jungle. The city appears to be like modern Tokyo, but is overtaken by trees, bushes, vines, and plants in general. After a bit of travel, they will arrive at a laboratory.
As soon as they enter, they will notice one thing: there are two paths to take. There is a staircase, and one way goes up, while another goes down. For Digigoro, characters will need to take the staircase down. For Gorobo, they will need to ascend upwards. Once they reach the first floor of their respective choice, the dungeons of Digigoro and Gorobo will start proper. Details for both dungeons, including how the Shadows will behave, and what needs to be done to successfully finish the dungeon, can be found in the documents linked below.

Hey, guys! We're currently looking for input on how to best handle player plots and events going forward. While big player plots are exciting and fun, we're also having trouble completing them. We tend to have bursts of energy at first, which trail off before long. This means plots drag on for months, making very little progress.
We've had a few thoughts, but we'd like to know what the rest of you think. Is there anything we could do better? What comm policies would make lengthy plots easier to handle for you? Do you have another concern you want to bring up? Feel free to comment below!

December Event!
Hey, y'all! For Christmas this year, we're doing a low-key event that still has the potential for lighthearted fun, or other types of threads if you prefer. In short: for whatever reason (do Igor and attendants feel bad about the harm they've done by allowing in evil Ken? Are they concerned about their recent bad PR? Were they going to do this anyway, and you're overthinking it?), Igor is gifting everyone one thing on Christmas, and it can be anything you ask for.*

This Thursday, a box will appear on his desk in the velvet room, with Santigor's face on it to haunt old residents and disturb new ones. There'll be a stack of paper and pens next to it, alongside a brief set of instructions. Characters can write their Christmas wish on a paper and deposit it in the slot in the top of the box. If it's something Igor won't grant, the paper will disintegrate into glimmers of blue light instead of falling into the box, and Igor will explain that he can't fulfill that wish. He may or may not be forthcoming if questioned about his reasoning.
Here are some examples of requests that would be granted:
• most weather effects, excluding very destructive ones
• more lighthearted pranks (with the consent of the other player)
• almost any physical item
• access to a place that the current setting doesn't include (though it would be a cognitive version of the place, like the cognitive Tokyo, Inaba, etc. that normally exist)
• the appearance of a shop that stocks items you haven't been able to find
• body modifications (wings, firebreathing, becoming a cyborg)
• new Personas
Some examples of requests that would not be granted:
• harm to another character, physical or otherwise
• weapons or other items you intend to use to harm another character
• bringing in a new character
• going home
• anything that can be used to break the game or circumvent game rules
Certain requests (new locations, some body modification, weather, etc.) might disappear after Christmas, or last only a few days. Others (body modification, most physical objects, etc.) may be permanent. If you have questions, please ask! Before Christmas, let us know what your final decisions for your characters are, either in the upcoming IC post or elsewhere.

This post will facilitate sharing your memory tapes, both for the benefit of the players receiving them but also for those who just want to read and lurk.

[EVENT] Memory Tapes Update + Plotting!
Hello, everyone! We're thrilled to announce that we will be having our Memory Tapes event starting on Thursday, the 21st! We meant to announce this earlier, but this month has been a bit bumpy for everyone. Because of that, we'd like to stress that you can take it at your own pace. We encourage backtagging and working with the idea without too much stress.
For a refresher, characters will be receiving a VHS tape with a memory from another character, along with a note urging them to find the owner of the tape. The note will warn that those who try to hoard the tapes may find memories of their own start to fade, unless they participate in the activity and make the effort to help one another.
There is no set limit to how many tapes your character can have or can give out. Characters are also welcome to use the network to try and coordinate tape exchanges. We want this event to give people the opportunity to share aspects of their character that their character may not otherwise share willingly.
We have a previous plotting post, but feel free to plot on this new post as well!

Update to Invite Policy
Hey, folks! We discussed it as a mod team as well as in the discord server, and we have decided to relax our invite policy. Before, an individual player could only invite one friend at a time, every fourteen days. This was to keep things fair, as we weren't sure how often our players would want to bring friends in.
However, now that we've had the invite system for a while, we've decided to make invites first come, first serve. For now, we're keeping the limit of six new players per month, but now, you can invite multiple friends if they're interested, either through our mod post, or in the Discord server, through the mod requests channel.
We hope that this new policy will make it less daunting to invite friends to play, as we understand that it can be difficult to have to keep people waiting or pick and choose.

Upcoming Events!
Hey, guys! With the recent Palace plot wrapped, it's time to finally move forward with some upcoming plot events. Here's what you can look forward to in the near future!
October Events:
We're still finalizing our Halloween plans, but our general ideas thus far include...
• Spooky setpieces popping up in the various areas, like Jack-o-Lanterns, cobwebs, and benevolent Shadows/demons slowly popping up more and more throughout the month similar to the Christmas event last year. This will culminate in a grand Halloween celebration in Destinyland, with spooky rides, food stalls and themed restaurants, and an elaborate parade on Halloween night to round out the celebration.
• Around October 24th, as the festivities begin, characters may transform into monsters or gain monster-like attributes. This is entirely optional, but a fun way to get in the spirit of the spooky season.
• There will be an open mingle for this event, spanning in-universe from the 24th to the 31st, so stay tuned!

The original description was this...
"The idea is that each character opted in for the event gets an unmarked video tape of someone else's memory - said memory (or memories, as many as the player wishes to have on the tape within reason) can be good, bad, a secret they wouldn't normally share, or just something that'd be fun for someone else to see. No one can tell whose tape they have until they watch it, so everyone has to watch the one they've got so they can give it to the rightful owner."
To further incentivize characters to exchange tapes, the tapes come with a cryptic note.
'In order to facilitate connections with your fellow residents, we advise you to watch this video. Watch it and find the one whose memory you've encountered.
Failure to do so may put your own memories at risk. Do not be selfish, lest you find yourself struggling to recall crucial moments of your life. You have no way of knowing which memories have been shared, so ask yourself if it is worth the risk to selfishly hoard another's secrets.'
But we are open to player feedback and ways to best organize the event, as well as when to have it! We don't want to rush anyone, so the date is up in the air, but maybe late May or early June? Feel free to post ideas here and plan matchups! For reference, the original post was here.

Gift Giving Post

Welcome to the Velvet Room! We figured it was high time to create a convenient place for players to share character/contact info and plot with one another.
Feel free to introduce yourselves! Share info about your characters, long term and short term goals, any ideas you may have for the future, and all that good stuff. We tried to provide a template that's flexible enough for players of both OU and AU characters and from various Persona games, but feel free to add additional info as needed.

Secret Santa Signups!
As part of the holiday festivities, we are planning a Secret Santa event! To participate, comment with the characters you would like to enter into the event. Submissions will be open until December 20th at 11:59 PM EST.
After the submission period ends, the mods will randomize Secret Santa assignments and comment accordingly. ICly, characters will receive their Secret Santa assignment via text if they have a phone or by a mysterious letter that just happens to reach them somehow.
